WILMINGTON, MA — The Revolving Museum and Beyond Benign presents “ROOTED IN PARADISE,” a group exhibition that explores the harmony, beauty, dependency, and precarious balance between nature and culture.
The exhibition is on display through October 1, 2017 at the Warner Babcock Institute of Green Chemistry (100 Research Drive #3, Wilmington). The exhibit can be viewed by appointment only (978-229-5400) Monday through Friday, 10am to 4pm.
The artists and youth in the exhibition utilize abstraction, realism, surrealism, and conceptual art to respond to the notion of paradise as a primeval and contemporary Utopian ideal.
Participants include: Kathryn Fanelli, Audrey Goldstein, Jeff Hull, Wilson Hunt, Tim Norris, Tanya Prather, Jessica Straus, Prison Art Project, and Elizabeth Schibuk with Conservator Lab Charter School students.
“Rooted In Paradise” is part of the “Tales From A Test Tube” exhibition series at Warner Babcock Institute of Green Chemistry and Beyond Benign in which green scientists, educators, and artists collaborate to solve challenging chemical and environmental problems, invent ecologically sustainable technologies, and collaborate on art/science projects.
