10 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (May 30, 2017)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TEN things you need to know in Wilmington for Tuesday, May 30, 2017.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will see patchy drizzle and fog before 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 66. Calm wind becoming southeast 5 to 8 mph in the morning.

#2) The American Red Cross is holding a Blood Drive from 2pm to 7pm at the Friendship Masonic Lodge (32 Church Street). Walk-ins welcome.

#3) The Wilmington Board of Assessors meets at 2pm in the Wilmington Town Hall’s Small Conference Room.  Read the agenda HERE.

#4) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) will be holding its usual Tuesday programs:

  • 9:00am — Zumba
  • 10:30am — Aerobics
  • 12:30pm — Wii Bowling

#5) The Wilmington Town Museum (430 Salem Street) is open from 10am to 2pm. Explore Wilmington’s history! Learn more HERE.

#6) The Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks (777 South Street, Tewksbury) holds bingo — open to the public — every Tuesday at 6:45pm. Doors open at 5pm. Pizza, hot dog and pastries are sold. Free coffee.

#7) Angels In Motion meets every Tuesday, from 9:30am to 2:30pm, at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue).  The club provides a great opportunity for seniors to meet new friends or reacquaint with old ones.  Spend the day playing cards, board games, or just chatting with folks!  A luncheon is served as noon.  There are NO fees. The KofC Hall is handicap accessible.

#8) Red Heat Tavern is holding its weekly bar trivia (pub quiz) with Geeks Who Drink from 7pm to 9pm. Learn more HERE.

#9) Wilmington Community Television is conducting a survey of Wilmington residents about their interaction with the public access station. With your help, WCTV hopes to improve the viewing of your community television station and expand your interest. If you choose, please enter your name and contact information at the end of the survey to be entered into a drawing for a $25 Visa gift card. All the information in this survey is strictly for the use of WCTV.
