5 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (May 26, 2017)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things you need to know in Wilmington for Friday, May 26, 2017.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, light rain is likely before 11am, then a chance of showers, mainly between 11am and 5pm. Areas of fog before 1pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 61. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

#2) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a drop-in story time at 10am. Learn more HERE.

#3) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its Memorial Day Luncheon at noon. Learn more HERE.

#4) There are a few WHS sports teams in action today:

  • 4:00 pm (A) Boys Freshman Baseball (Shawsheen Technical) @ Shawsheen Technical
  • 4:00 pm (H) Girls Varsity Softball vs Everett High School @ Town Park, Rte. 38
  • 4:00 pm (H) Girls JV Softball vs Everett High School @ West School

#5) The Shawsheen Tech Senior Prom takes place from 6pm to 10pm at the Danversport Hacht Club.  The promenade will be held at 4pm in the school cafeteria.
