WILMINGTON, MA — Two burgers with ties to Wilmington are vying for supremacy in the 6th Annual Boston Magazine’s Battle of the Burger.
The Beer Belly from Red Heat Tavern, located at 300 Lowell Street in Wilmington, is beef burger, topped with Smith Country Cheddar, House Smoked Pork Belly, Hoppy Mayo, Drunken Greens, and Red Onion Jam, served on a toasted roll. The burger was created by Chef Alan Frati.
The Hot Mess from the Boston Burger Company is a certified Angus Beef slider, topped with melted american cheese, signature hotmess mix, shredded lettuce, sweet potato fries, with thousand island dressing poured over the top. Served on a potato roll. The burger was created by Chef and Owner Paul Malvone of Wilmington.
Vote daily (every 24 hours) HERE until July 5 to ensure these two burgers make it to the live burger competition on August 15-16 at Cruiseport Boston. Voters will be eligible to win tickets to the event.
