WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things you need to know in Wilmington for Sunday, May 21, 2017.
#1) According to the National Weather Service, it will be sunny in Wilmington, with a high near 69. Light and variable wind.
#2) The Wilmington PMC Kids Ride will take place from 9am to 11am on Carter Lane, beginning at the Boutwell Early Childhood Center. Over the past 11 years, the Bike Ride has raised nearly $170,000 for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Jimmy Fund. Face painting, refreshments, and free raffles will be all be happening the day of the ride. Learn more HERE.
#3) The Wilmington United Methodist Church (87 Church Street) is holding a Plant Sale from 7:30am to 12:30pm. All proceeds will benefit the Stop Hunger Now.
#4) We’re One Wilmington’s Junior Chapter is holding its monthly meeting from 11am to noon at Villanova Hall (126 Middlesex Avenue). The meeting is specifically for students in Grades 8-11 who interested in serving on the Junior WOW Leadership Council.
#5) The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm. Learn about the canal, which travels through Wilmington.
