10 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (May 17, 2017)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TEN things you need to know in Wilmington for Wednesday, May 17, 2017.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, it will be mostly sunny in Wilmington, with a high near 88. Light southwest wind increasing to 10 to 15 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

#2) Town officials will be conducting a review of the Yentile Farm Recreational Facility at 7pm in Wilmington Town Hall (Room 9). There will be a discussion relative to conditions at the park.  In addition to participation from staff, the Board of Selectmen and Yentile Farm Development committee are expected to participate in the discussion

#3) The Wilmington Public Schools Spring Vertical Chorus Concert takes place at 7pm in the Wilmington High School Auditorium. Pre-sale tickets only.  Tickets will not be sold at the door.

#4) DEADLINE: Today is the FINAL DAY to submit a letter of interest to Town Hall if you’re interested in the Board of Appeals vacancy. Learn more HERE.

#5) The Wilmington Band Parents Association is holding its Monthly meeting at 7pm at the High School.

#6) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is hosting a Star Mag Meeting for kids at 3:45pm. Learn more and register HERE.

#7) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its normal Wednesday activities:

  • SBF Exercise (9:45am)
  • Special Exercise (11am)
  • Country Line Dancing (1pm)
  • Gentle Yoga (3:45pm)

#8) The Wilmington Police Department offers safety seat installs at the Wilmington Public Safety Building (1 Adelaide Street) every Wednesday, 10am-2pm. No appointment is necessary, but calling ahead at 978-658-5071 is recommended. Learn more HERE.
