WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things you need to know in Wilmington for Sunday, May 14, 2017.
#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will see rain, mainly before noon, then showers likely after noon. Patchy fog between 8am and noon. High near 50. North wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
#2) Why are flags at half-staff in Wilmington? Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker has the flag be lowered to half-staff at all state buildings from sunrise until sunset on Monday, May 15th, 2017 in honor of National Peace Officers Memorial Day.

#4) The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm. Learn about the canal, which travels through Wilmington.
