LITTLETON, NH — Carol A. (Nuzzo) Sireen, age 66, of Littleton, NH, formerly a long-time resident of Tewksbury, MA, died peacefully on May 5, 2017, at the Lowell General Hospital.
Carol was born in Stoneham, MA on December 29, 1950; she was the dear daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Nuzzo. Throughout her early years, Carol was raised and educated in Stoneham; she moved to Wilmington as a young teenager and was a graduate of Wilmington High School with the Class of 1968. Carol was always very attached to her sister Jean; from the time she was little she loved to go everywhere with Jean and her husband John; she was like “their daughter” in many ways.
Carol lived in Tewksbury for over 30 years where she raised two wonderful children, Cheryl and Daniel. Carol was a very devoted and loving wife and mother; she was very proud of her children and of all of their accomplishments. She and her husband Dennis enjoyed their short retirement which included moving to their new home in Littleton, New Hampshire just a year ago. Carol showered her grandchildren, Joseph, Anthony, Saskya, and Loudon with unconditional love and she cherished every moment she spent with them.
Carol was very “lively and upbeat” and she loved to keep busy; Carol was the “family planner” who enjoyed planning parties and holidays, never missing a detail. Carol also enjoyed going antiquing to find unique pieces and great bargains.
Carol will be fondly remembered as a wonderful lady; she loved her family and friends with all her heart and she will be greatly missed.
Carol was the beloved wife of Dennis J. Sireen, devoted mother of Cheryl (Clark) Hoag & husband Brian and Daniel Clark & wife Yasmin all of Windham, NH, step-mother of Christopher Sireen of Lowell, MA. Loving “Grammy” of Joseph & Anthony Hoag and Saskya & Loudon Clark. Dear daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Griswold) Nuzzo, sister of the late Jean Muise, sister-in-law of John Muise of Wilmington, aunt of John and Alice Muise of Wilmington.
Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, for a Celebration of Carol’s Life on Thursday, May 11th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting Hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 10th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Carol’s memory may be made to the Lowell General Cancer Center, 295 Varnum Ave. #2, Lowell, MA 01854.
