WILMINGTON, MA — Richard J. “Coot” Ceres, age 82, of Wilmington, formerly of East Rutherford, NJ, passed away on April 18, 2017.
Richard was the beloved husband of Eileen C. (Monahan) Ceres, devoted father of Thomas W. Ceres & his companion Darlene Kelley of Wilmington, Megan Ceres of Rye Brook, NY and Patrick Ceres & his wife Kristine of Blairestown, NJ, loving “Papa” of Emma and Brendan Ceres, cherished son of the late Margaret (Griffin) and Harry Ceres, dear brother of Ruth Milano & her husband Joseph of Wayne, NJ, the late William Ceres and Harry Ceres. Richard is also survived by his sister-in-law Eugenia Ceres of FL, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Richard proudly served in the U. S. Army from September of 1954 to September of 1956 and was the former Fire Commissioner for East Rutherford, NJ for 13 years.
Family and friends will gather for Visitation at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Sunday, April 23rd from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. immediately followed by a Funeral Service with Military Honors at 1:30 p.m.
