WHS SOFTBALL: Gordon, Goulet, Horgan & Moran Lead Hit Parade In Blowout Victory

WILMINGTON, MA — The WHS Varsity Softball team remains undefeated after a 11-2 blowout victory of Belmont High on Wednesday, April 19 at Town Park.

Wilmington sophomore Ally Moran continued to pitch well, striking out 13 in 6 innings of work. Gianna Brunetto entered the game in the 7th inning, registering 3 putouts.

Captain Shannon Horgan (2-for-3 with 2 runs and 2 RBI), Dana Goulet (3-for-3 with a triple, stolen base, and 3 runs scored), Ally Moran (2-for-4 with a triple and 2 RBI), and Liz Gordon (2-for-4 with 2 doubles) led the hit parade for the Wildcats.

Coach Audrey praised the smart base running of Antonia Kieran, who made a heads up play by tagging up on an infield foul ball and later scoring.

UP NEXT: The Wildcats (3-0) next play Melrose High on Friday, April 21 at 10am at Pine Banks Park in Melrose.
