5 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (April 17, 2017)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things you need to know in Wilmington for Monday, April 17, 2017.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, it will be mostly sunny in Wilmington, with a high near 70. Northwest wind 8 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

#2) PATRIOTS DAY: Town Offices are closed. Schools are closed due to April vacation. Retailers, banks, and post offices will be open.

#3) TRASH & RECYCLING REMINDER: Due to the Patriots Day, Wilmington’s residential trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day.   Monday’s normal collection will be on Tuesday, Tuesday’s collection will be on Wednesday, and so on…concluding with Friday’s collection occurring on Saturday.

#4) Several Wilmington High School sports teams are scheduled for action:

  • 10:00 am (H) Girls Varsity Softball (Ipswich) @ Town Park, Rte. 38
  • 12:00 pm (A) Boys Varsity Baseball vs Tewksbury Memorial High School @ Tewksbury High School
  • 12:00 pm (A) Boys JV Baseball vs Tewksbury Memorial High School @ Livingston Street Park
  • 12:00 pm (H) Boys Freshman Baseball vs Tewksbury Memorial High School @ Wilmington Middle School
