We write this letter in support of Edward Loud Sr., who is running for an open seat on the Wilmington Board of Selectman. We have known Ed and his wife, Doreen for over 25 years. Ed and his family have lived in Wilmington for almost 30 years. We have watched the Louds raise their 3 children, Eddie Jr., Brianna, and Emily here in Wilmington. Ed Loud is an honest and hard working family man. He is a man of integrity as well as a great friend.
Ed has been on the Board of Appeals for the past 14 years. He currently serves as the chairman of the board. Ed also presently serves on the Committee of the Yentile Farm Recreational Development Facility. He is also actively involved with the Friends at 9 Cross Street in raising funds for Yentile Park.
Doug and I had an opportunity at a recent rally for Ed to listen to Ed’s positions on a number of topics regarding Wilmington. These topics included his concern on taxes, the on going issues with Transrail at the Olin site, the need for senior housing here in town and the continuing substance abuse crisis. We feel Ed will keep the best interest of Wilmington in mind when faced with difficult decisions such as those involving the above topics.
We are asking for you to support Ed Loud as a candidate for Town Selectman. Please cast your vote on April 22, 2017 for Ed. He will be an excellent addition to the Board.
Kat and Doug Moore
