WILMINGTON, MA — Here are EIGHT highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, April 6, 2017:
- Police notified DPW that large potholes were forming westbound on Richmond Street. (7:20am)
- Police issued three speeding tickets on Carter Lane. (7:34am)
- A Falcon Road resident reported his wife received a call yesterday around 8:15pm. Calling party addressed resident by her first name, which she confirmed by saying ‘yes.’ The caller then disconnected the call. Husband is concerned about possible scam activity. (9:03am)
- A Maplewood Avenue caller reported his recycling barrel is missing. Caller notified DPW and was advised to file a police report. (9:36am)
- A Winston Avenue caller reported her neighbor was pumping water from their yard into hers. (3:32pm)
- Police received a 911 call from an 8-year-old child claiming they were left home alone. Police responded. A parent was home. (3:38pm)
- Fire Department responded to a chimney fire on Salem Street. (5:56pm)
- A suspicious man rang a doorbell to a Burlington Avenue home. He seemed impaired and was carrying a clipboard and paper bag. Homeowner sent him on his way. Police responded, spoke with homeowner, and was unable to locate man in question. (9:55pm)
