Social Media Do’s and Dont’s for the Job Seeker *RR

Speaker Judy Parisella, owner of a cloud marketing firm, will provide an insightful overview of social media’s impact on job seeking, and speak to the “must haves”, “dos and don’ts” and best practices in effectively using today’s social media. The intent of this session is to leave all attendees with practical steps that can be implemented immediately to move your job search results forward.
How to Negotiate Land Boundaries *RR

Jack Hammer, a professional land surveyor, will help you understand how boundaries are determined, why there can be a difference of opinion, how these differences occur, and how to bridge that difference without creating conflicts.
Planets, Moons, and the Search for Alien Life *RR
Wednesday, April 12, 7 pm
Join Alessandro Massarotti, PhD Associate of the Department of Astronomy, Harvard University as he discusses the question of the origin and development of life here on Earth and potentially elsewhere in the Universe. Recent advances in planetary exploration are leading to a revolution in our ideas on the emergence of life on our own planet and the likelihood of finding life outside the Earth.

Parents, caregivers and educational professionals will learn strategies on how to incorporate Baby Sign into the child’s daily routine. Resources and handouts will be provided. Presented by Genevieve Dodge, MS, CCC/SLP, Speech Language Pathologist at Thom Mystic Valley Early Intervention.
Bilingual Storytime/La Hora de Cuentos Bilingue

Children learn to express their creativity, practice fine motor skills, and experiment through art. Join us as we discover our inner artists through creative play! Ages 18 months-2
SAT Practice Test *RR
Saturday, April 15, 12:30-5 pm
Practice the new SAT for free! Organized through the Princeton Review, students take the entire 3 hour and 50 minute test allowing an extra 25 minutes for breaks, and then receive their scores via email.
Book Store Next Door
Looking to add some books to your child’s Easter basket? The Book Store Next Door has a nice selection of children’s books as low as $1 and $2. Open Wednesday and Saturday 10 am to 4 pm.
Save the Date
The third annual Town Wide Yard Sale is scheduled for Saturday, June 10, 8 am -2 pm. Applications will be available online and at the library starting May 1st. The $15 fee includes yard signs, a place on the yard sale map and lots of publicity. Start sorting now!
