WILMINGTON, MA — The Town of Wilmington is announcing a soft opening for the highly anticipated Yentile Farm Recreational Facility. Based upon site conditions, it was determined that the turf field could open for use by groups permitted through the Recreation Department as of Monday, April 3, 2017. Also currently open to the public are the walking paths and play areas.
Certain areas are still being completed by works crews. Users of the facility are expected to be aware and respectful of ongoing construction maintenance operations. Areas which remain not accessible at this time are the event lawn, concession building, and restrooms. It is anticipated that these areas will be open for the Open House on Saturday, May 13, 2017. The basketball courts and street hockey area are expected to be open on Monday, April 11, 2017.
Care and control for The Yentile Farm Recreational Facility is handled by the Town. Usage of the turf field is subject to permit issued by the Recreation Department.
