LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Bryson Truly Gets Education, Deserves 1 Of Your Votes

To my fellow residents of Wilmington:

We want to express our sincere and heartfelt endorsement and support of Jennifer (Jenn) Bryson for the Wilmington School Committee. We have known our neighbor Jenn for over a decade and happily consider her a good friend. This year on April 22nd Wilmington voters will be electing two members to the School Committee.  It is critical that we elect individuals like Jenn Bryson who have a solid background in education and a thorough understanding of what it takes to ensure a 21st century learning experience for all our students.

Jenn has committed twenty years to the field of education as a classroom teacher and faculty member at Boston University. She spent ten years teaching 2nd and 3rd grade in Chelsea and currently serves as the Faculty Director of Educator Preparation, Program Director for Elementary Education, and a clinical instructor in the School of Education at Boston University.  She is a doctoral candidate in Language and Literacy Education and studies family-school partnerships and family literacy projects. Jenn has two children, Hannah (grade 5) and Theo (grade 2) who attend Wilmington Public Schools and is truly invested in working to ensure that all Wilmington students receive a quality education.  She has served on both the Boutwell and Shawsheen School Advisory Councils (SAC) as well as the Shawsheen/West PAC. She has also been instrumental in coordinating Trivia Night, one of the most successful PAC events, for the last four years raising close to $25,000 for enrichment programs at the Shawsheen and West schools. You will find Jenn at the little league fields, string concerts, art shows, basketball games, and the library where she serves on the Friends of the Library Board. To learn more about Jenn, we would direct you to her Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/JennBrysonForWilmingtonSchoolCommittee/

We are committed to the continued progress of our town. It is our responsibility to vote for the right candidate to be our representative in local government. We cannot think of anyone more qualified and suited to serve as our representative on the School Committee than Jenn Bryson. Please join us in casting one of your two votes on April 22nd for Jennifer (Jenn) Bryson for Wilmington School Committee. She truly gets education.
