WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things you need to know in Wilmington for Sunday, March 26, 2017.
#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will see a slight chance of rain and sleet between 1pm and 4pm, then a slight chance of rain after 4pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 37. Northeast wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
#2) The Wilmington Dance Academy is holding a Performance Team Showcase at 2pm in the Wilmington High School Auditorium (159 Church Street). Tickets cost $12 at the door. Proceeds will benefit the studio’s performance teams. Event also includes a bake sale and raffles before the show and during intermission.
#3) The Wilmington alternative rock band Humans and Us is holding a release show for their debut EP from 7pm to 10pm at the Wilmington United Methodist Church (87 Church Street). Doors open at 7pm. Music begins at 7:30pm. Scheduled bands include Girl Scout Cookies (7:30pm-7:50pm); Powder Keg (8pm-8:20pm); Mint Green (8:30pm-8:50pm); and Humans And Us (9:05pm-9:35pm). Learn more HERE. #4) Greenberg’s Train & Toy Show stops at the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road) from 10am to 4pm. The event touts 100+ exhibitors from across the country; 400+ tables of trains for sale; huge operating model train displays; trains kids can operate; trains kids can ride; free workshops and demonstrations; and free door prize giveaways. A Saturday ticket cost $10. A Sunday ticket costs $9. Tickets, however, can be purchased online with a $1 off coupon code HERE. A group pass is also available. Children 11 and under are FREE.
