5 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (March 24, 2017)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things you need to know in Wilmington for Friday, March 24, 2017.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, there is a chance of snow in Wilmington before 1pm, then rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 43. Light south wind becoming southwest 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

#2) The Wilmington High School Choral & Theatre Support Group (WHS CATS) presents the 9th March-A-Pella at 7pm in the Wilmington High School Auditorium (159 Church Street).  Tickets at the door cost $18 for adults and $12 for students (18 and under) and seniors (65 and older). Tickets will be available the door while supplies last. Seating is general admission so, arrive early for best selection.

The following a cappella groups are scheduled to perform:

 

#3) The Abundant Life Church of Wilmington invites Wilmington families to an Easter Egg Hunt from 6:30pm to 8pm at the Church (173 Church Street). This “Early Easter” family event will feature an egg hunt, music, crafts, and an Easter message. Refreshments will be served. Admission is FREE with a donation for the Wilmington Food Pantry. #4) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding THREE programs today:

  • Drop-In Storytime (10am-11am)
  • R.E.A.D. Middle Grade Book Club (3:45pm-4:45pm)
  • Family Fort Night (6:30pm-7:30pm)

#5) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its regular Friday activities:

  • Video Exercise (10am)
  • Special Exercise (11am)
  • Bingo (1pm)
  • Cards (1pm)

The Center is also holding a Brain Body Fitness Class at 11:30am.  Learn more HERE.

PLUS: There will be a sobriety checkpoint in Middlesex County Friday night into Saturday morning.
