10 Steps to Shorten the Job Search *RR

Are you getting tired of the “same old, same old” in your job search? Are you finding yourself more distracted and less effective in your daily activities? This presentation will help you revisit the basics in your approach and perhaps help you discover one new thing that will put you back on track and help you move forward more effectively. Mike Chase is a professional in transition and has presented this topic at several networking venues.

Birds of the New England Swamp *RR
Thursday, March 30, 7 pm
Wildlife photographer Peter Christoph presents a narrated slideshow, sharing both his award-winning images and his photographic secrets as he brings you inside a typical New England swamp. Peter provides an intimate look into the many varieties of birds that inhabit our swamps, sloshing and crawling through the swamp so you don’t have to, Peter captures the birds’ many activities including building the nest, feeding their young, and catching their prey.

“WCV: Radio for Your Eyes”
Monday, April 3, 2:30 pm
Enjoy a one hour comedy show set in a radio station, WCV, which includes commercials, features, jingles, sports news, and breaking news.  You will become part of the live studio audience and join in the fun.  There will be giveaways and audience participation in this unique “mash-up” of FM and AM radio styles.  Presented by radio enthusiasts Jeff Van Amburgh and Sally Cragin.

Dads and Donuts

Dads and their kids ages two and up are invited to drop in for stories, songs, rhymes and more.  Moms, grandparents and other caregivers are welcome, too! Ages 2-5 and one or more adults

Wear your snuggly pajamas and bring your favorite teddy bear or blanket and enjoy stories, songs, rhymes and more! Ages 2-5 and one or more adults 

Baby Sleep Basics *RR
Monday, March 27, 7 pm
Is your family exhausted? Do you have to rock, bounce or feed your child to sleep every time you try to put him/her down only to have to do it all over again minutes or even seconds later? Does your child wake up too early or have multiple night wake ups? Early Parenting Partners will present a workshop in which, participants will gain an understanding of how biology, environment and an infant’s stage of development can impact sleep. An overview of popular sleep strategies will be provided and much time will be devoted to answering questions.

Crafternoons: Suminagashi *RR
Thursday, March 30, 3:45 pm
Practice the ancient art of Japanese paper marbling and turn plain drab paper into colorful bookmarks. Grades 4-8

Drop-In Storytime
Friday, March 31, 10 am
Drop in for stories, songs, rhymes and a fun craft!  Space is limited. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.  Ages 2-5 and one or more adults

Homebound Delivery
The Friends of the Library volunteers provide delivery of library materials to Wilmington residents who are unable to come to the library due to a disability or an illness. Applications are available at the library and on the library’s website www.wilmlibrary.org under “Services.” For more information, please call the library at 978-658-2967.

Book Store Next Door
Do you need some books for your child’s Easter basket? The Friends of the Library Book Store Next Door has a nice selection of children’s books to purchase. Open Wednesday and Saturday 10 am to 4 pm.
