WILMINGTON, MA – The Wilmington School Committee sent following message to parents this morning:
On behalf of the Wilmington School Committee, I regret to inform you that Interim Superintendent Joanne Benton has tendered her resignation due to health reasons. Superintendent Benton’s last day will be March 31, 2017. She has graciously offered her support and guidance to the next leader of Wilmington’s schools. We are thankful for her service to our district and wish her well.
Our next item of business is to appoint an interim for the remainder of the school year. Continuing to provide an exceptional educational experience for all Wilmington children remains our priority.
Wilmington Apple hopes to have more information about the district’s next Interim Superintendent in the coming days.
