WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TEN things you need to know in Wilmington for Saturday, March 18, 2017.
#1) According to the National Weather Service, it will be mostly sunny in Wilmington, with a high near 38. Calm wind becoming east 5 to 8 mph in the morning.
#2) To mark the 10th anniversary of his death, a breakfast to honor PFC John F. Landry Jr. will be held at 9am at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue). Admission is FREE. Landry, who had deep family ties to Wilmington, was killed in action by an IED during Operation Iraqi Freedom ten years ago, on March 17, 2007. Learn more HERE.
#3) Wilmington School Committee candidate Amy Largenton is holding a ‘Meet & Greet’ event at Panera Bread (228 Main Street, Wilmington) from 9am to 11am. #4) The Wilmington Band Parents Association is holding its annual Trivia Night at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue). Doors open at 7pm. Trivia begins at 8pm. Attendees are asked to bring their own your own food for their table, and to come prepared for the raffle basket table and cash bar.
#5) Alex Boehm, of Boy Scout Troop 126 of Wilmington, is organizing a Pasta Dinner Fundraiser from 6pm to 9pm at Villanova Hall (125 Middlesex Avenue). Tickets cost $10 at the door. All funds raised will benefit Boehm’s Eagle Scout project at Camp 40 Acres.
#6) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a practice ACT Test from 12:30pm to 5pm. Learn more and register HERE.
