WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington Public Schools is holding its 2nd Annual Behavioral Health Provider Fair on Thursday, March 16, 2017, from 6pm to 8:30pm, at the Wilmington Middle School.
The Fair, with a theme of “Finding Balance For Our Kids,” will feature valuable information to help children deal with the challenges they confront.
Doors open at 5:30pm.
The Keynote Address — “Anxiety and Executive Function Skills: What Every Parent Need To Know” — will take place from 6pm to 7pm in the Auditorium. Wilmington Assistant Superintendent Sean Gallagher will introduce the speaker, Jennifer Flewelling, M.Ed.
Breakout sessions will take place from 7:15pm to 8pm. Topics include:
- Executive Function Coaches’ Favorite Apps for Time Management and Getting Started with Homework
- Supporting Transgender and Gender Non-conforming students
- Hypnosis for Relaxation
- Assessing risk in children
- “One size does not fit all” Therapy alternatives by A Centered Self
- Stress Management, Heart Rate Variability Training
- Services offered by The Guidance Center at Riverside Community Care
- Mindfulness and Parenting
- Federation for Children with Special Needs
- Advocates
- Social Skills Services by the Triumph Center
- Centering and Mindfulness Through Yoga
- In Plain Site by Wilmington Police Department
Vendors will be available in the Cafeteria throughout the event. Breakout sessions end at 8pm to ensure attendees have time to visit.
Childcare will be provided. Light refreshments will be served.
