POLICE LOG for March 6: Police Arrest Immigrant, ICE Issues Detainer

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are EIGHT highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, March 6, 2017:

  • Police assisted car owner with a vehicle lockout on Jones Avenue. (7:16am)
  • Police responded to a physical fight in the middle of the roadway at Lowell Street and Strout Avenue. (7:46am)
  • A Salem Street resident requested traffic patrols during morning commute hours due to excessive speeding. (8:43am)
  • A West Street resident that sometime over the weekend, her mailbox was egged. (9:52am)
  • Police issued a citation to a driver for failure to stop for a school bus on Lowell Street, near Wonder Years. (2:23pm)
  • A caller reported her North Face jacket, with checkbook in pocket, was taken while at La Chic Nails and Spa on Main Street. (2:25pm)
  • Jucelia Desouza-Neto (32, Revere) was arrested on warrants, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, giving a false name to a police officer, and speeding. Immigration and Customs Enforcement issued an immigration detainer on the prisoner. (4:37pm)
  • A Maple Road caller reported he was the victim of an online scam. (5:39pm)
