YENTILE FARM NEWS: Want To Buy A Commemorative Brick? Act Fast!

WILMINGTON, MA — The Yentile Farm Recreational Facility is scheduled to officially open on Saturday, May 13.

The 9-acre park will be a destination for all ages and interests. It includes a multi-purpose artificial turf field and combined basketball/street hockey courts. It has walking paths, an event green for open recreation and large community activities, and game tables for passive recreational use. In the heart of the site is a signature playground for multiple ages, restrooms and concessions, and a picnic pavilion that provides shade while enjoying a meal or snack. The site includes 109 parking spaces to accommodate visitors throughout the season.

The Friends of 9 Cross Street, a certified 501c3 non-profit organization, was formed in 2015 with the goal of raising $1 million to help offset some of the project’s $4.8 million cost.

To help attain its ambitious fundraising goal, the organization is selling commemorative bricks that will be installed at the park.  Residents – past and present – and businesses can share a message, memorialize a loved one, or simply “leave their mark” by purchasing a brick engraved with their own personal messages.

Regular bricks (4 x 8 with up to three lines of text) cost $125. Large bricks (8 x 8 with up to 5 lines of text) cost $300.

To purchase a personalized brick, complete this form and mail it, with a check payable to “Friends of 9 Cross Street,” to Friends of 9 Cross Street, PO Box 419, Wilmington, MA 01887.

Act fast!  Forms must be received by March 1, 2017 in order to guarantee installation prior to the park’s opening.
