WILMINGTON, MA — Timothy W. Trefry, age 57 of Billerica, formerly of Wilmington, died unexpectedly at home on February 16, 2017.
Tim was born on September 17, 1959; he was the dear son of Phyllis Gorman and the late Alfred “Bob” Trefry. Tim moved to Wilmington as a young boy and attended grammar school in the Wilmington Public School System; he graduated from Lexington Christian Academy High School in Lexington with the Class of 1976.
Tim was very close to his family and as a young man he enjoyed visiting flea markets with his dad; they found all kinds of treasures and sports memorabilia which he collected. As Tim got older he became quite a sports fanatic and he especially loved following the Bruins, Patriots, and Red Sox.
Tim was very proud of his children Jennifer, Kristan, and Bryan; he loved them with all his heart.
For many years, Tim worked hard as a loader operator for the Copart Auto Auction in Billerica until his illness forced him to retire.
Tim will be fondly remembered as a kind and sweet man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Tim was the cherished son of Phyllis Gorman and the late Alfred “Bob” Trefry of Wilmington, beloved father of Jennifer Salyer & her husband Brian of California, Kristan Trefry and Bryan Trefry both of Plymouth, dear brother of the late Jonathan Trefry, uncle of Michael Trefry & his wife Samantha of Ft. Myers, FL. Tim is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Tuesday, February 21st for Visitation from 10:00-11:45 a.m. immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers donations in Timothy’s memory may be made to the Wilmington Congregational Church, 220 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, MA 01887.
