WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 12 things you need to know in Wilmington for Saturday, February 11, 2017.
#1) According to the National Weather Service, snow is likely in Wilmington, mainly before 11am. Cloudy, with a high near 34. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
#2) The Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road) is holding a 2-day Motorcycle Expo beginning today, 10am-5pm. Admission costs $10, with free parking. Learn more HERE.
#4) Wilmington Youth Hockey’s latest 8-week “Learn To Play” program begins TODAY at 7am at Ristuccia Arena. Registration is required. Fee is $120. Learn more HERE.
#5) The Shawsheen Tech is holding registration for its upcoming Spring “Learn to Swim” Program TODAY, from 9:15am to 212:30pm, to register your child. Lessons run on Saturdays from March 4 to April 8. Visit the Pool’s website for more information and to download the registration form HERE.
#6) State Rep. Ken Gordon (D-Bedford), who represents Precinct 3 in Wilmington as well as all of Burlington and Bedford, will host the latest of his monthly office hours today from 9am to 10am at True North Coffee (204 Cambridge Street, Burlington).
#7) Several Wilmington High School teams are in action today:
- 10:00 am — GIRLS Varsity Cheerleading @ Multiple Opponents (Meet) (Competition @ Shawsheen Tech)
- 12:30 pm — GIRLS Varsity Ice Hockey @ Watertown
- 2:00 pm — BOYS JV Ice Hockey vs Watertown (at Ristuccia)
