WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 10 things you need to know in Wilmington for Saturday, February 4, 2017.
#1) According to the National Weather Service, it will be mostly sunny in Wilmington, with a high near 32. West wind 5 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
#2) Members of the Wilmington Rotary Club and WHS Rotary Interact Club will be participating in the Polar Plunge at Long Beach in Gloucester to raise money for polio. Learn more about the event, and how to donate, HERE.
#3) Wilmington Travel Basketball is holding a Parents Night Out Fundraiser at 8pm at the Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks Lodge (777 South Street). Dancing, raffles, cash bar and bring your own food! - 10:00am — BOYS Varsity Wrestling @ Tyngsboro
- 12:00pm — GIRLS Varsity Ice Hockey @ Melrose
- 2:00pm — BOYS Varsity Ice Hockey vs. Melrose (at Ristuccia)
- 2:00pm — BOYS & GIRLS JV Winter Track @ Lexington
#5) The WHS Boys Hockey Team is hosting its annual “Pink in the Rink” game to raise awareness for breast cancer at 2pm at Ristuccia Arena. All baked goods and raffle proceeds will be donated to the Susan F. Smith Center for Women’s Cancers at the Dana-Farber Institute.
#6) The Wilmington Youth Center (126 Middlesex Avenue, Villanova Hall) is open from 7pm to 9:30pm. The Center is for 6th, 7th and 8th graders who live in Wilmington. Learn more about the Center, and how you can sign your child up, HERE.
