POLICE LOG for January 20: House Shot With Paintballs; Garage Mix-Up; Loose Dog On Tracks

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are TEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, January 20, 2017:

  • A green 2004 Toyota Camry struck a pole near Eastern Bank on Main Street. Air bag was deployed. No injuries noted. Vehicle towed. (12:53am)
  • A caller reported a purple mountain bike was located off the side of the bridge on Richmond Street, stuck in a bush near Dunkin Donuts. Police notified DPW. (7:42am)
  • A blue 1999 Ford Ranger and a gray 2009 Toyota Sienna were involved in a minor crash at Triton Car Wash on Main Street. (12:42pm)
  • An individual approached officers at a traffic stop on Molloy Road to advise them of dirt bikes being operated in the area of Molloy and Fairmont. Police checked area and spoke with youths walking home. (1:05pm)
  • Keolis Commuter Services reported receiving a call from a train engineer who witnessed a loose brown dog on the tracks near Lake Street. Animal Control Officer checked tracks and could not located. (1:32pm)
  • A yellow Honda Accord was issued a citation for failure to stop for a school bus on Church Street. (2:26pm)
  • A Shady Lane Drive resident reported a credit card fraud. (2:39pm)
  • A Horseshoe Lane resident reported a man was going through her garage and took off in a white Toyota when she noticed him. Police located the vehicle nearby. Man claimed he thought he was entering his girlfriend’s garage. Police confirmed the mix-up and resident was satisfied. (4:51pm)
  • A black 2014 Ford Fusion and black 2011 Mazda CX7 were involved in a crash near the Salvation Army on Main Street. Both vehicles towed. One individual was transported to the hospital with a leg injury. (6:29pm)
  • A Nichols Street resident  reported his house was struck with paintballs.  Police checked the area and saw nothing suspicious. (11:53pm)

  1. Every time a house gets hit with rocks, shot with bb’s, paint balls, or any debris thrown at it the response is always investigated the area and didn’t find anything suspicious. Sick of that response.
