5 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (December 11)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 5 things you need to know in Wilmington for Sunday, December 11, 2016.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, it will be mostly sunny in Wilmington, with a high near 33. At night, snow is likely, mainly after 2am. Cloudy, with a low around 26. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

#2) Lucky Pro Wrestling will join with West Real Estate for a “Toys for Tots” Drive from 9am to 12pm at West Real Estate office (386 Main Street, Wilmington).

Ring of Honor star Taeler Hendrix will appear from 9am to 10:30am. Former WWE Tag-Team champions Mikey & Kenny will appear from 10:30am to noon.  Lucky Pro Wrestling Champ “The Selfie Made Man” Vern Vicallo and former Champ Mike Webb are also scheduled to appear.

With the donation of a new unwrapped toy, or a donation of $5, fans can get a photo and autograph from pro wrestlers. All donations will be collected for the Toys for Tots of Massachusetts to assist the less fortunate this holiday season.

#3) Today is the FINAL DAY to donate to St. Thomas’s Giving Tree. Learn more HERE.

#4) Boston Auctions and Antiques (355 Middlesex Avenue) is holding its weekly Indoor Flea Market from 8am to 4pm. Learn more HERE.

#5) The Wilmington United Methodist Church (87 Church Street) is selling Christmas trees from 10am to 6pm. The Boy Scouts Troop 56 of Wilmington is selling Christmas trees & wreaths in the As Good As It Gets plaza (35 Lowell Street) from 10am to 8pm.

PLUS: The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm.  Learn about the canal’s history and its impact on the area, including Wilmington.
