WILMINGTON, MA – Edward W. Fennelly, of Wilmington, formerly of Billerica, passed away on November 11, 2016 at the age of 64.
Beloved husband of Denise (Ultrino) Fennelly; they shared countless meaningful memories throughout their 34 years of marriage. Devoted father of Jessica Laferriere and her husband, Adam, of Chelmsford and Ariel Kotzias and her husband, Alexander, of Lowell. Proud papa of Landon and Lincoln. Brother of Wayne Fennelly and his wife, Lucinda, Janet Tinkler and her husband, Rocco, and Anne McCarthy and her husband, Scott. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and his grand pup, Piper.
Edward made it his priority to always teach and guide his family with everything he knew. It meant the world to him to watch them learn and grow and become the people they are today. He found great joy spending time with family and friends, especially while floating on his boat on Lake Winnipesaukee soaking up the warm sun. If you needed advice on how to fix or problem solve anything, he was your guy; the most hard working devoted guy to anything he set his mind to. Most importantly, Edward was loved, admired, and looked up to by every individual in his life. He was a longtime member of Mass Brick Layers Union, Local #3 where he held great pride in his work.
Funeral mass will be held in St. Theresa’s Church, Billerica, Tuesday, November 15, at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Edward’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105, Stjude.org or any Cancer Research Foundation of your choice. The interment is held at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
