WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 12 things you need to know in Wilmington for Thursday, November 3, 2016.
#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will see showers, mainly after noon. High near 62. Calm wind becoming southeast around 6 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
#2) Rocco’s Restaurant & Bar (193 Main Street) is hosting live music with Larry Gilbert at 6pm.
#3) The Wilmington Recreation Commission meets at 5pm at Wilmington Town Hall (Room 8). Read the agenda HERE.
#4) Wilmington seniors are invited to a FREE Thanksgiving dinner at the Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks (777 South Street, Tewksbury). Doors open at 5:30pm. Dinner begins at 6:30pm. This annul event, sponsored by the Elks, will also feature raffle prizes and dancing. Interested seniors should reserve their free tickets at the Senior Center’s Front Desk.
#5) Wilmington’s four Subway locations are celebrating National Sandwich Day with a special BOGO offer – where guests can purchase any sub at regular price with any beverage, they’ll receive another FREE sub of equal or lesser price, plus the store will donate the monetary equivalent of a meal to Feeding America for each sub purchased. #6) The Shawsheen Tech Institute is inviting Wilmington residents to an important community forum — “Understanding The Teen Brain & How It’s Primed For Addiction” — from 7pm to 9:15pm, at the Shawsheen Tech (100 Cook Street, Billerica). Learn more HERE.
