WILMINGTON, MA – The Wilmington High School Boys Cross Country team (1-4) defeated Watertown High, 41-20, on Tuesday, October 11 for the team’s first victory of the season.
“We knew we had a really good chance to defeat them,” said Head Coach Brian Schell. “Being on our home course, the race was a total team effort. I’m happy for the entire team. Most, if not all, our runners had personal records, often by substantial amounts. The team’s hard work is paying off.”

“We face an equally talented Stoneham team this week and have a good chance to win,” added Schell. “We need to take these efforts and bring it one more time at a shorter 2.8 Stoneham course.”
