WILMINGTON, MA — WCTV, in conjunction with the Town Manager’s Office, presents Town Topics, a monthly TV show that keeps you up-to-date with issues and happenings in the Town of Wilmington.
This month’s topic was the Butters Farm and the Historical Commission. Butters Farm is a historical home located at 165 Chestnut St. Originally built circa 1720 by William Butters II. Learn more about the home and the Town’s effort to ensure its preservation. Also discussed are events and activities at the Harnden Tavern.

I adore this house. I was actually the previous tenet Mrs. McDermott mentioned, well my family was. We did rent from Mrs. Emery and the from Mr. Langone after the sale. Growing up in this house was an amazing experience and it is in an amazing neighborhood. I was saddened that Mr. Langone build houses instead of keeping the barn but I do understand why. The farm
and the house simply went together and we’re perfect.
I truly hope whoever ends up with this house loves it just as much as we did.
