WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things to do today in Wilmington on Sunday, August 21, 2016.
#2) Students participating in WHS fall sports and their parents should attend the Fall Sports meeting on Sunday, August 21 at 6pm in the High School Auditorium. Attendees will hear from school administration, community leaders, and a special guest speaker. Information on the tryout processes for each sport will be discussed by the coaches in break-out groups by sport.
#3) A “Summer Skills & Drills” camp will be held for Wilmington boys & girls entering Grades 4-8 under the lights on the outdoor courts at Wilmington High School. The camp will be held on six consecutive Sunday nights — July 24, July 31, August 7, August 14, August 21 and August 28. Boys & girls entering Grades 4-6 will play from 7pm to 8:30pm. Boys & girls entering Grades 7-8 will play from 8:30pm-10pm. $10 per session or $40 for all 6 sessions. Participants are asked to bring a water, a basketball, and a positive attitude! #4) The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm. Learn about the canal’s history and its impact on the area, including Wilmington.
#5) GOOD LUCK to Wilmington residents Gina Bolognese and Michelle Forester in their running of the 44th Annual New Balance Falmouth Road Race as members of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s team. Learn more HERE.
