WILMINGTON, MA — The 2016 Wilmington Community Ice Bucket Challenge will take place on Saturday, August 27 at 10am at Rotary Park.
The event’s sponsor — the Wilmington Rotary Club — is hoping to make this year’s Wilmington Community Ice Bucket Challenge even bigger than last year’s. (Watch video from that event HERE.)
The Club would love YOUR help to bring people together and to raise funds for research to find a cure for the terrible disease of A.L.S. (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
Aside from taking the challenge, Wilmington residents can help by:
- Sending a donation of any amount to Wilmington Rotary Club at P.O. Box 503, Wilmington, MA 01887.
- Contacting people you know — your child’s coaches, teachers, tutors, etc.
- Spreading the word — the bigger the crowd, the larger the impact.
Last year brought out more than 200 participants, including a karate studio, a dance studio and 2 soccer teams come to participate in the challenge. More groups are needed this year!
All donations collected will go to the Angel Fund for A.L.S. research.
Please contact Amy LaMarche (978 658-7270, amy.lamarche[at]salemfive.com) with any questions.
