WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things to do today in Wilmington on Thursday, August 11, 2016.
#1) The Wilmington Memorial Library is hosting an End Of Summer Bash from 5pm to 7:30pm on the Swain Green, across from the Wilmington Town Common.
The event includes food, music, games and entertainment, featuring:
- Amigos Locos Tex-Mex Food Truck and Firebox BBQ Food Truck
- Cool Cow Ice Cream Truck
- All ice creams will be $3 each. Thanks to the Friends of the Library, Summer Reading participants will receive a coupon for a FREE ice cream at the Bash. Stop by the Youth Services Department beginning August 1 to pick up your coupon.
- Quentin Callewaert Trio
- Quentin is a 15 year old guitar prodigy from Byfield, MA. He and his band will play a broad range of music, including The Beatles, Chuck Berry, Stray Cats, Allman Brothers, and Ray Charles.
- Casper the Spectacular
- Casper the Spectacular is a multi-talented, interactive entertainer. He can juggle, ride the unicycle & twist balloons! (Funded by the Wilmington Rotary Club.)
Participants are asked to bring their own seating.
#2) TODAY is the DEADLINE to purchase your tickets for the Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s fitness-themed gift basket raffle. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5 and can be purchased at the library’s Front Desk. The winner will be drawn at the End of Summer Bash. Learn about the prizes in the basket HERE.
#3) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its normal Thursday activities — Walking Group (9am); Bocce (9:30am); Art Class (10am); Aerobics (10:30am); Knitting (11am); and Game Day (1pm). Learn more HERE.

#5) Town Beach is open today with lifeguards on duty, 10am to 8pm. Learn more HERE.
