OBITUARY: James A. Dunham, 71

FRAMINGHAM, MA — James A. Dunham, 71, of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Framingham and Wilmington, died Saturday, August 6, 2016, after a hard fought battle with cancer.  Born in Framingham, son of the late Alden “Tot” & Bertha (Collins) Dunham, he is the beloved husband of  Lorna E. (Burns) Dunham.

James was educated in Framingham, and later had a long career in commercial flooring in Boston.  He was an avid boater and enjoyed summers on Lake Winnipesaukee in NH. James loved his family, especially his four grandchildren.

Besides his wife, James is survived by his children, Colleen Dunham Henschke & her husband Marc of Concord, and Wesley James Dunham & his wife Nicole of Belchertown, four cherished grandchildren, Emma, Cole, Drew, and Eleanor, he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by six brothers and sisters.

Visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., FRAMINGHAM, on Saturday, August 13th, from 9 to 10:45am.  A funeral service will follow at 11 am.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Framingham.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in James’ name to: The American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
