WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington resident and business owner Walter Collings found a unique way to raise funds for the Special Olympics of Massachusetts.
Collings, owner of Collings Tree Company, participated in his first “Over The Edge” fundraiser on Saturday, July 16. Collings, with an American flag, rappelled down the 22 stories of Hyatt Regency in Boston.
“I will do it again next year and hopefully assemble a team of fellow tree climbers to make even more money for this great cause,” Collings told Don Leard of WCTV, who was present to record the amazing feat.
Collings has raised nearly $2,000 and counting from this year’s event. And it’s not too late to support Collings’ efforts by making a tax-deductible donation to the Special Olympics in his name HERE.
