Wilmington Breast Cancer Foundation & Flatbread Pizza Partner in Fundraiser on July 19

WILMINGTON, MA — Hope and Friendship Metastatic Breast Cancer Foundation and Flatbread Company, the noted locally sourced, organic pizza chain are teaming up for the second time to raise funds for breast cancer. Flatbread Pizza will be donating a percentage of the proceeds from EVERY purchase made during the evening of Tuesday, July 19th, from 5pm – 9pm, at their Bedford location (213 Burlington Road, Route 62 off of Route 3). Everyone interested in supporting individuals and their families with metastatic breast cancer are invited to come out for delicious pizza and great company on Tuesday evening.

Founded in 2012 by Heather LoRe, a metastatic breast cancer patient herself, the Foundation provides a FREE support group to the women and men battling this form of breast cancer in Wilmington, MA. The foundation is open to patients north of Boston including the North Shore, Merrimack Valley, Southern New Hampshire and all surrounding areas. The Foundation also provides FREE wrap-around services to the patients such as: creative retreats, sponsorship for complementary treatments, workshops, scholarships to national metastatic breast cancer conferences, and resources for learning and networking. This year, the foundation will host its 2nd Annual Fall Family Event in November for the families, caregivers and friends of the support group members, including those support group members who have lost their battle to this cruel disease. Metastatic (Stage IV) breast cancer is the terminal form of breast cancer.

“All of our programs and services to the women and men with metastatic (Stage IV) breast cancer is are FREE. The financial hardships of terminal breast cancer are staggering. We like Flatbread because they use local and all organic ingredients. In addition, there is a synergy in working with a company such as Flatbread Company as we are all working at the grassroots level in our communities. Their generosity and dedication to the community are inspiring and we are proud to partner with them for another year”, said Heather LoRe, Hope and Friendship president.

Tuesday night’s event is open to everyone who is hungry, likes pizza and other foods, and wants to help make a positive difference in the lives of those living with terminal breast cancer and their families and caregivers. Come on over and support the patients, their families and caregivers who are facing, or have faced, this devastating disease.
