Wilmington Police Announce 2 Volunteer Opportunities For Residents

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Police Department recently shared two volunteer opportunities for residents.

National Night Out

The Wilmington Police Department is looking for high school-aged Wilmington residents to assist as volunteers at its National Night Out event on Saturday, August 2 at 6pm at Rotary Park.  The event is expected to include a touch-a-truck exhibit, K9 demonstration, dunk tank and screening of “Zootopia,” while providing crime prevention information to children and families.  Interested students should email Officer Matt Stavro at mstavro@wpd.org.

Wilmington Town Dog Park

The Wilmington Animal Control Officer is looking for residents to join a “Friends of” group that will assist in supporting the upkeep and operation of Wilmington’s new dog park. Interested residents should email Officer Christopher Sullivan at csullivan@wpd.org.
