Boston Business Journal In Your Job Search *RR

A representative from the Boston Business Journal, the leading business publication covering regional business, will offer tips and suggestions on how to incorporate this valuable tool into your job search.
Writing Group *RR
Monday, July 11, 7 pm
If you love to write and seek feedback, then join our writing group. Please bring up to five pages of written work to the meeting. Open to all genres and levels. When registering, please provide your email address so you can receive an agenda and any prep materials in advance. Led by local writing enthusiast, Barbara Alevras.
Most Interesting Trends in Science and Technology *RR
Wednesday, July 13, 7 pm
Dr. Bob Spillman, a PhD chemist with over 30 years of industrial R&D experience, will present a broad overview on the most interesting and sometimes disturbing developments in science and technology. Topics to be discussed include space exploration, biotechnology and medicine, materials research, alternative energy, particle physics, and climate change.
Author Talk: Jay Atkinson *RR
Thursday, July 14, 7 pm
Bestselling author, Jay Atkinson, will talk about his latest book, Massacre on the Merrimack. The book details the account of Hannah Duston, who in 1697 was captured along with eleven others from the village of Haverhill, in an Abenaki raid. Jay is the author of several other books including Ice Time and Legends of Winter Hill. He has written for the New York Times, Boston Globe, Newsday and Men’s Health and has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize three times.

Preschool Storytime: Fairy Tales
Tuesday, July 12, 10 am
This storytime for preschoolers includes books, rhymes, music and a fun craft. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to accompany the child and participate in the activities.
Space is limited. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Ages 3-6
Baby Times
Thursday, July 14, 9:30 am
This program of songs, rhymes, games and picture books is for babies under the age of two years and their caregivers.
Space is limited. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tuesday, July 19, 10 am
This storytime for preschoolers includes books, rhymes, music and a fun craft. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to accompany the child and participate in the activities.

Time for Twos
Thursday, July 14, 10:30 am
This fun program is for two year-olds and features books, songs, rhymes, music and movement. Space is limited. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Fitness Friday: Karate
Friday, July 15
Grades 1-3: 10 am
Grades 4-8: 10:30 am
Instructors from the Academy of Traditional Karate will introduce basic karate techniques, and character skills such as focus and respect.
Lindsay and Her Puppet Pals *RR
Monday, August 8, 6:30 pm REGISTRATION OPENS JULY 8
Join Lindsay and her lovingly crafted, larger-than-life Puppet Pals for a family fun show filled with silliness, crowd participation, and unique, memorable characters. This series of charming and positive short stories will delight the young and the young at heart! All ages

Fitness Gift Basket Raffle
In keeping with this year’s fitness theme for summer reading, the Friends of the Library have put together a fitness gift basket that includes a Fitbit Fitness wristband, gift certificates to local gyms and a variety of fitness equipment. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. All proceeds benefit the Wilmington Memorial Library. Winner will be drawn on August 11.
Museum Passes Promotion Raffle
Borrow one of the library’s museum passes in July or August, take a photo of you and your family, post to Facebook and tag the library @wilmlibrary, You will then be entered into a raffle for a $50 Target gift card.
