Wilmington Youth Soccer’s Latest In-Town Game Summaries (June 11)

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are Wilmington Youth Soccer in-town game summaries from Saturday, June 11, 2016.

Kinder Boys

Chicago Fire

The Chicago Fire’s Lucas Pereira, Mark Cataldo, Damian DiCenso, Caden Merritt and Braeden Vanisky stayed on their toes creating many scoring opportunities. The play of Nathan DiSchino and Austin O’Connell shut down the other end of the field on defense that set the tone for this game.  The Chicago Fire were a tough group who showed poise and determination all season long.  Their coach praised them on having such a successful season.

Girls Grade 1

FC Kansas City vs. Western NY Flash

The Flash were also impressive on the offensive side of the ball with great skills being displayed by Ruby Poulo, Amy Keohane and Angelina Vo, leading to goals by Celina Vo and Gabby Carriglio. The defense showcased their skills on this day with Katelyn Perkins, Kalea Lamb and Emma Tarin keeping the ball out of their zone for most of the game.

The air was full of excitement, as the much-anticipated match between FC Kansas City and the Western NY Flash commenced. Fantastic ball skill were displayed by Shannon Hounsell, Mackenzie Libitz and Madison O’Donoghue. The midfield and defensive play ofDanielle Chillemi, Caroline Donovan and Hailey Reguera kept FC Kansas City in excellent shape. The crowd roared to their feet when Bella St. Onge and Hailey Reguera made some spectacular defensive stops.

Boys Grade 1

NE Revolution vs. Seattle Sounders

A great season came to an end for the New England Revolution as they hosted the tough Seattle Sounders.  The Revolution seemed to be off their game as the Sounders counter attack was hard to stop.  Late in the first half the Revolution got on the board and never looked back.  Goals from Nate Anderson, Fernando Gunera and Cameron Molina from strong playing efforst assisted by Ethan Lydon, Kyle Price and James Savoie put the game back in favor for a fantastic finis h.

The Seattle Sounders would not back down from this back and forth match. Goals by Cole Falk and Collin Holman brought the crowd to a frenzy. A spectacular display of defensive skills was shown by Richard Holland and Cael Considine.  In addition, the midfield play of Nolan White and Dylan Mainini kept constant pressure on the opponent’s net.

LA Galaxy vs. NY Red Bulls

The NY Red Bulls would not back down from this back and forth match. Goals by Zachary Atwater and Nicholas Melaragni brought the crowd to a frenzy. A spectacular display of defensive skills was shown by Jackson Griffith and Chase O’Brien.  In addition, the midfield play of Preston Hunt kept constant pressure on the opponent’s net.

Girls Grade 2

FC Kansas City vs. Western NY Flash

The air was full of excitement, as the much-anticipated match between F.C. Kansas City and the Western NY Flash commenced. Fantastic ball skill were displayed by Samantha Bolanos, Cayley Israelson, and Mackenzie Scanlon. The midfield and defensive play of Katherine Hughes, Maria McCarthy, and Kaitlyn Shackelford kept the F.C. Kansas City in excellent shape. The crowd roared to their feet when Alexis LeBlanc, Ava Cirone, and Alison McElligott made some spectacular saves.
