10 Things To Do In Wilmington Today (June 8, 2016)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TEN things to do today in Wilmington on Wednesday, June 8, 2016.

#1) The Wilmington School Committee meets at 7pm in the Wilmington High School’s Large Instruction Room. (Executive Session, closed to the public, begins at 6:30pm). Read the agenda HERE.

#2) The Wilmington Board of Appeals meets at 7pm at Wilmington Town Hall (Room 9). Read the agenda HERE.

#3) The Wilmington Board of Assessors meets at 10am at Wilmington Town Hall (Small Conference). Read the agenda HERE.

#4) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a lecture on the recent class between Apple and the FBI over encryption at 7pm.  Learn more and register HERE.

#5) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its normal Wednesday activities — SBF Exercise (9:45am); Special Exercise (11am); Country Line Dancing (1pm); and Gentle Yoga (3:45pm).  Learn more HERE.

#6) The Wilmington Police Department offers safety seat installs at the Wilmington Public Safety Building (1 Adelaide Street) every Wednesday, 10am-2pm. No appointment is necessary, but calling ahead at 978-658-5071 is recommended. Learn more HERE.

#7) The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door (183 Middlesex Avenue) is open from 10am to 4pm. All books are $2 or less!  Every penny of every sale benefits the Wilmington Memorial Library. Learn more HERE.

#8) The Northside PAC holds its monthly meeting at 9am at the North.

#9) Wilmington Relay For Life is holding a Teams Meeting at 6:30pm and a Volunteer & Vendor Meeting at 7:30pm in the Wilmington Middle School Cafeteria. T-Shirt pick-up will also be happening.

#10) ICYMI: The Wilmington Educational Foundation’s “TOP CAT” award program — where parents can submit a small donation to WEF in exchange for certificates for their child’s teachers and other school personnel — is active.  Submissions are due by Friday, June 10. Learn more HERE.
