POLICE LOG for May 7: Drunk Driving Arrest; People Trapped In Elevator

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, May 7, 2016:

  • Police assisted the Fire Department rescue two people trapped in an elevator in a building on Ballardvale Street. (1:27am)
  • Brandon L. Pichette (27, Manchester) was arrested for OUI Liquor (2nd Offense); Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle; Giving A False Name To A Police Officer; Speeding; Miscellaneous Motor Vehicle Equipment Violations; and Failure To Sear A Seat Belt. Pichette was pulled over in front of the Wilmington Arts Center on Middlesex Avenue. (3:20am)
  • Timoteo Chavez-Chilel (46, Lynn) was issued a summons for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Speeding. (11:12am)
  • Caller reported a supsicious man walking around the Marion Street area carrying a shovel. Police responded and spoke with the man, who was working for Eldridge Survey in the area. Situation checked OK. (11:17am)
  • A walk-in party turned in old ammunition for destruction. (1:54pm)
  • A resident reported a hole was developing around a sewer cap on Moore Street. Police notified DPW. (4:07pm)
  • Police received report of a counterfeit $50 bill used at the Shriners during the rodeo. The bill was confiscated. (7:24pm)
