WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TEN things to do today in Wilmington on Saturday, May 14, 2016.
#1) The Town of Wilmington is holding its annual Household Hazardous Waste Day from 9am to 2pm in the parking lot of the West Intermediate School (22 Carter Lane). The event is FREE for Wilmington residents. (There is a fee for disposal of tires.) Proof of residency is required. Learn more HERE.
#2) The Wilmington United Methodist Church’s Youth Mission Trip participants will be holding a Car Wash fundraiser from 9am to 1pm in the parking lot of the Tewksbury United Methodist Church (2335 Main Street).
#3) “Mr. Rock & Roll” Jimmy Merrick and his band, The Jesters, will play your favorite oldies and classic rock songs tonight the Wilmington KofC Hall (126 Middlesex Avenue). Doors open at 7pm. Concert begins at 8pm and until midnight.Pizza, coffee and pastries will be served. Cash bar. Bring your own snacks. Tickets cost $20. #4) REMINDER: Wilmington residents are reminder to leave donations to the Wilmington Food Pantry by their mailboxes TODAY as part of the 24th annual Letters Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. In addition, the Wilmington Food Pantry (142 Chestnut Street) is open from 10am to noon for food donation drop-offs. Learn which food items the Pantry is most in need of HERE.
