POLICE LOG for May 4: 2 Assault Arrests; Wife Accidentally Calls Police On Husband; App Mishap

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are TEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, May 4, 2016:

  • A caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked by the pumps at Cumberland Farm on Main Street. Driver was taking a nap. Police asked the driver to move it along. (4:50am)
  • A caller reported a man in large black winter jacket and green pajama pants walking int he middle of the road on Cunnigham Street, carrying a backpack and large stick. Police responded and spoke with the man. Situation checked OK. Man was walking with a stick due to an injury. (7:05am)
  • An unspecified larceny was reported from Textron on Lowell Street. (10:58am)
  • Police served a summons and spoke with a program employee at Milestone Group Home on High Street. (11:57am)
  • A Draper Drive caller reported his identity was used to attempt to open up a credit card account. (4:43pm)
  • Aaron B. Brown (22, Wilmington) and Amanda Brazell (23, Wilmington) were arrested. Brown was arrested on assault & battery. Brazell was arrested on assault & battery with a dangerous weapon. (6:16pm)
  • 2 vehicles were involved in a crash in the Red Heat Tavern parking lot on Lowell Street. No injuries reported. Both vehicles were towed. Damage was down to a wooden fence, brick wall and the Red Heat sign. (6:36pm)
  • A Seneca Lane caller reported someone was trying to enter her basement door. Caller then realized it was her husband. (6:54pm)
  • Jaime E. Hall (37, Bradford) was issued a summons for leaving the scene of property damage. Manager of Shell Gas Station on Main Street reported the driver’s vehicle struck a cement barrier in the station’s lot. (8:27pm)
  • Sister requested a well-being check on a Wilmington homeowner after receiving a text message that read: “I need help.”  Police responded. Homeowner had a “Help” app on her phone, which was malfunctioning. Situation checked OK. (9:50pm)
