10 Things To Do In Wilmington Today (May 7, 2016)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TEN things to do today in Wilmington on Saturday, May 7, 2016.

#1) Wilmington Public Schools is holding the final day of its annual student art show from 10am to 2pm in the Wilmington Middle School Cafeteria. Artwork from all grade levels and all eight schools will be on display. Light refreshments will be served.

#2) The Boy Scout Troop 126 of Wilmington is scheduled to hold Car Wash fundraiser from 10am to 2pm in the Fourth of July Building Parking Lot (142 Middlesex Avenue). The suggested donation for a car wash is $5.

#3) Hundreds of Grace Chapel volunteers, along with volunteers from churches across Wilmington, will undertake a “Spring Serve” and volunteer in the community with various tasks, including yard work for seniors. The day’s schedule — 7:30am: check in at Grace Chapel; 8:00am: breakfast at Grace Chapel; 8:30am: travel to Service Project; 12:00pm: conclude Service Project.

#4) The WorldCup Bull Riders is holding rodeos at noon and 7pm at the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road). The show includes WorldCup Bull Riders; kids barrel racing; bands; BBQ; live country music; mechanical bull; kids games; horse trick riding; rodeo clowns; and pony rides, plus a special performance of hit song “Boston Strong” by recording artist Big D. General admission tickets cost $20. #5) The Wilmington Memorial Library’s Writing Group is meeting at the library (175 Middlesex Avenue) from 9:15am to 11:15am. Learn more HERE.

#7) The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door (183 Middlesex Avenue) is open from 10am to 4pm. All books are $2 or less!  Every penny of every sale benefits the Wilmington Memorial Library. Learn more HERE.
