From unEmployment to Empowerment: Exploring Self-Employment and Franchising

This seminar is designed to help those in career transition or underemployed learn how to explore all available options…the job market…buying…or starting a business or franchise… giving up is not an option! Tuesday Night Craft – Hand Lettering 103 (cost $5, limit 12)

Learn the craft of hand lettering! We will focus on the art of drawing letters using different mediums and styles. Each class will build on techniques but can also standalone so feel free to just take one class or the whole series! We will practice cheater calligraphy, brush lettering, and hand lettering before learning how to emboss our hand lettering to make personalized cards and stationary.

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a drone!?! Tewksbury resident Jamie Boudreau, owner of Airgoz Aerial Photography, will debunk misconceptions surrounding drones (unmanned aerial vehicles). He will discuss: type of drones; price ranges; rules and regulations for operators; no fly zones; and uses for drones. Boudreau will also display his quadcopters, answer audience questions, and show some amazing aerial footage he’s taken of Tewksbury
Skillshare: After-Death Communication and Its Implications for Grief *RR

Cheryl Amari, Founder and Owner of GriefTeach, a Tewksbury-based business will present her findings on after-death communication (ADC). When a loved one dies we often yearn to stay connected with them in some way. Some people report “signs” of their loved one’s presence, but is it really possible to communicate with deceased loved ones? Presentation will distinguish between deathbed visions, near-death experiences, shared-death experiences and ADC. She will also explore the various types of ADCs, review the latest research in the field and provide resources and further reading.
After Hours Concert featuring Drunken Logic (ages 21+, tickets $10)
Friday, May 13, 7 pm
Drunken Logic, a “surprisingly cohesive blend of pop punk and emotionally-charged folk rock” (Sound of Boston) was formed at Berklee College of Music in 2012. Their acoustic trio will be here playing tracks off their two albums, Something New to Burn (2013) and Long Day’s Journey to the Middle (2014) along with popular crowd pleasing covers. Salty snacks and two beers/hard cider included in ticket price. Tickets can be purchased at the main desk or online via the library’s website. Limited babysitting provided in the children’s room for kids ages 3-11—please call 978-694-2099 to secure spots.

Read to Zoey, the listening Labrador. Zoey is a great listener who loves to have kids of all ages read to her and improve their reading skills. Zoey has been certified as a therapy dog by the Pets & People Foundation. Please call 978-694-2098 to sign up for a 15-minute session.
Amazing Race: WML Edition

Compete in The Amazing Race: WML Edition! Clues provided in each leg of the race lead to “pit stops” where teams of two must complete a challenge before continuing to the next leg of the race. Quickest team wins! Grades 4-8.
Drop-In Storytime

Drop in for stories, songs, rhymes and a fun craft! Space is limited, tickets will be distributed on first-come, first served basis. Ages: 2-5 and one or more adults.
