SELECTMEN NEWS: Big Issues To Be Discussed At Tonight’s Meeting

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Board of Selectmen meets this upcoming Monday, April 25 at 7pm in the Town Hall Auditorium.

There is a great deal on the agenda, including:

  • Selectmen will recognize Wilmington Youth Hockey’s Pee Wee 1 and Bantam 1 Championship Teams. Players, coaches and parents will be present.
  • Selectmen will discuss the Annual Town Meeting warrant and figure out which member which introduce which articles.
  • Town Manager Jeff Hull will provide the Selectmen with information on Kinder Morgan’s decision to suspend its pipeline project.
  • Town Manager Jeff Hull will provide the Selectmen with information on the special order for the recently approved firearms range in town for Wilmington Police.
  • Town Manager Jeff Hull will provide the Selectmen with information regarding his appointments and reappointments to town boards, plus a vacancy on the Board of Appeals.
  • Selectmen will receive notification from the State Lottery Commission that Rochdale (357 Middlesex Avenue) is seeking to offer KENO to Go. Selectmen only need to take action if they object.
  • Selectmen will consider a request of Wilmington Police Chief Michael Begonis to hold a National Night Out celebration on Tuesday, August 2 at Rotary Park.
  • Selectmen will consider a request of Wilmington Memorial Library Director Tina Stewart to hold a Town Shredding Day in the Town Common Parking Lot on Saturday, September 24, 9am to noon.
  • NOTE: This meeting will mark the first meeting for new Selectmen Kevin Caira and Greg Bendel. Read a recap of Saturday’s election HERE.

The meeting will be telecast live by Wilmington Community Television on WCTV-G — Channel 22 on Comcast and Channel 38 on Verizon.  The meeting will also be streamed on WCTV’s website HERE.
