10 Things To Do In Wilmington Today (April 13, 2016)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TEN things to do today in Wilmington on Wednesday, April 13, 2016.

#1) The Masonic Friendship Lodge of Wilmington is hosting its 3rd Annual Sports Memorabilia Silent Auction Fundraiser at 7pm at Scoreboard Sports Bar & Grill (15 Middlesex Canal Park Drive, Woburn). Learn more HERE.

#2) Registration for the Wilmington Recreation Department’s popular Tiny Tots & Kids Club begins Wednesday, April 13 from 5pm to 6:30pm in the Town Hall Auditorium. Learn more HERE.

#3) The Wilmington School Committee meets at 6pm in the High School’s Large Instruction Room. Read the agenda HERE.

#4) The Wilmington Board of Appeals meets at 7pm at Town Hall (Room 9). Read the agenda HERE.  The Board will vote on the Town’s special permit request to hold a carnival at the old Swain School site.

#5) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a “Device Drop-In” session from 2pm to 3pm and an “Intro To The Cloud” class from 7pm to 8pm. Learn more and, if necessary, register HERE.

#6) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its normal Wednesday activities — SBF Exercise (9:45am); Special Exercise (11am); and Country Line Dancing (1pm). The Center is also holding Gentle Yoga at 4:30pm.

#7) The Wilmington Police Department offers safety seat installs at the Wilmington Public Safety Building (1 Adelaide Street) every Wednesday, 10am-2pm. No appointment is necessary, but calling ahead at 978-658-5071 is recommended. Learn more HERE.

#8) The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door (183 Middlesex Avenue) is open from 10am to 4pm. All books are $2 or less!  Every penny of every sale benefits the Wilmington Memorial Library. Learn more HERE.

#9) The Town’s Yard Waste Center, located off Old Main Street on the Wilmington/Woburn line, is open from 8am to 2pm.

#10) WHS Boys Tennis hosts Melrose at 3:30pm at Wilmington High School. WHS Girls Tennis travels to Melrose at 3:30pm at Lyon Court. WHS Boys Lacrosse travel to North Reading  High at 4pm.
